Another Stupid Question

I often see video clips broken down to a bunch of pieces and posted at ABECC
(and other places, as well). They then need to be downloaded (every piece?)
and reassembled. Here's the question: Why not just post the entire clip in
one piece somewhere like megaupload or rapidshare?

Well, usually a stupid question gets a stupid answer. I couldn't even get

it is worth your time to download the rest.
